LOOK Kids!! COMICAZI!!

Greetings to you, my friends!!

Have I got some stuff to tell you!!  Normally, there’d be a question mark at the end of that previous sentence but what I am about to disclose is so awesome that it just begged for exclamation points!!
In a mere 16 days, Comicazi will be hosting its 12th annual Halloweeniversary party on Saturday October 20. That’s pretty exciting for those of you who know that we rock an awesome party – and for those of you that don’t know, well you’re just going to have to come to this one to find out for yourself!!  We have music, food, costume contest, a cash bar, and a raffle.  In years past, we have raffled off tons of great toys and comics, the grand prize usually being a key comic book worth hundreds of dollars.  This year we have something a little more special in mind for the grand prize….

Grand prize is a graphic novel of the lucky winner’s choice every week for a full year!!!  Sweet Christmas!!  That’s right, folks, 52 graphic novels are in the offing for you to win.  Let me give you the particulars on this; the fine print if you will:

1 – You must be present at the party at the time of the raffle drawing in order to be eligible to win the grand prize.

2 – Each graphic novel must be priced at $19.95 or less.  If you choose one that’s more than $19.95, you pay the difference.

3 – Only one graphic novel can be given away each week.  If you choose one that’s less than $19.95 on a particular week, so be it.

4 – The winner may begin choosing their graphic novel prize the first week of November.  From that point, it will continue for a 52 week period.

5 – You must come into the store and collect your graphic novel in person.  Because we want to see your smiling face every week.

6 – If you do not come in on a particular week, you forfeit that week’s graphic novel choice.  There is no doubling up on any week.

I can’t even express how stellar this prize is!  You have an excellent opportunity to build a library, give gifts to people, try new titles, you name it.  And all for minimal cost, by Crom!
Here are the raffle ticket details:

$5 gets you 5 raffle tickets.  This is the minimum purchase for entering the raffle.  ALL entries into the raffle will receive an exclusive Comicazi Halloween button for FREE!
$10  =  12 tickets
$25  =  35 tickets
$50  =  75 tickets

The second place prize is of a similar bent.  The winner will receive one pack of CCG cards every week for a full year! These include Magic:The Gathering, Pokemon, L5R, etc.  See?  We here at Comicazi are thinking of everyone!!  The kids will love this

The fine print details are the same as above.

1 – You must be present at the party for the drawing to be eligible to win.
2 – Each card pack must be priced $5 or less.  You pay the difference if it costs more.
3 – Only one card pack will be given away every week.  If the card pack that week costs less than $5, so be it.
4 – The prize will start the first week of November and continue forward for a 52 week period.
5 – You must come into Comicazi to collect your card pack.
6 – If you miss a week, you forfeit that week’s card pack.  No doubling up on card packs.

So, yeah!!  Those two sweet prizes can be had as well as 8 other lots at the Halloweeniversary.  It’s entirely free to join.  It, as always, is being held at the George Dilboy VFW post on Summer Street in Davis Square.  The party begins at 8pm and ends at midnight.  We’d love to see everyone there and all manner of new folks too!  So tell everyone you know and bring friends along….all are welcome!!

Whew!!  That is quite the deal!!  But wait!!  There’s more!!  Well more stuff to tide you over before the 20th arrives.  This coming Saturday the 6th brings you the Geek Week Comedy Crew at Comicazi!!   $5 gets you in the door for laughter and hilarity beginning at 8pm.

And Tuesday, the 9th is the next meeting of the Comicazi Book Club, wherein they dissect Tintin!!  Book Club is every 2 weeks on Tuesday evenings beginning at 7:30pm.  And its FREE!!  Come in, the water’s fine!!

And just because we want all of your October Saturdays, the 13th gives us Spooky Halloween Trivia by Dan and Elise!!  These guys are Halloween-crazy and I, for one, look forward to seeing what they pull out of their witch’s hat for trivia questions!!
One spooky dollar at 8pm gets you in the back room of Comicazi on that night top partake of Halloween Trivia.  A better deal you can’t find effendi!!
