The Oath

Hey there!
I’d open with something about it being a “Brightest Day” but it’s snowing right now. Again.
And if that line didn’t tip you off about what I’m going to type to you, then I don’t know what to tell ya!!
Yes, I’m going to remind you about the Green Lantern toilet seat contest that’s currently running at the shop. Just received another entry last night. Here are your details on getting in on the fun, fellow Corpsmen!
What I have proposed to you is a rewrite of the classic Green Lantern oath themed around the bathroom in honor of our new toilet 
Your rewritten oath should be in the same iambic pentameter and/or rhythm of the original oath. Rewrite it how you wish as long as that bathroom/toilet theme is evident and it flows like the classic oath. Be vulgar if you wish. If it’s great, it may win! Be clever. Be original. Here is the original oath to help you along:
“In brightest day, in blackest night,
no evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might,
beware my power….Green Lantern’s light!”
You may send your entries in 3 ways. You can post it here on the blog in the comments section of this post. You may submit it to the store’s Facebook page via the message option. The store’s FB page can be found under the name Comicazi Prime. Or you can email it to me personally at mtburke@gmail.com. The contest ends on Thursday January 27 by noon.
The winning entry will have their oath on display in the store bathroom and internet notoriety. And something else. I’ve yet to decide. It won’t be membership in the Corps or anything but it will be pretty decent. Now get cracking!!
