Greetings all!!

This here is a bit of information for those of you who are fans of comics, the art of, and Comicazi. And who among you reading these words isn’t a fan of at least one of those categories?

The latest issue of Somerville Scout, which hits on October 1st, will feature the cover story of comic art in Somerville. As the fair city has its share of local artists – some of them comic! – and Comicazi Prime is situated in the living, beating heart of Somerville, there is ample fodder for an article!

So be on the lookout come next month for the Scout and purchase a copy. Get there early as I’m sure it will be a sell out

I’ve always liked the Sandpeople. They were visually stimulating in that post-apocalyptic way. Ever since I first laid eyes on them as an enraptured 7-year old. To this day even, I find them one of the more interesting characters in the Star Wars universe.
Now this…. This is a rather terrifying image. Cool as hell though!

Well, Bracken’s ego aside, last week’s poll spotlighted your favorite works by Scottish comics writer and possible otherworlder, Grant Morrison. There were 10 fine choices as the man has been cranking out comics for 2 decades plus! The clear cut winner with 50% of the votes was the excellent All Star Superman!

This week’s poll focuses on the holiday weekend. It’s the unofficial end of summer and a 3 day weekend. Figured I’d celebrate that fact in my own way with a poll. Let’s see if we can rack up more votes than last week! Take a moment this weekend and place your vote.

Hola!

I don’t want to be that guy who gripes about the weather but sheesh!
Did Gaea have to make it this hot the week I begin walking back and
forth to work? Crom! I’ll be a lanky ranger by October at this rate.
That can be my costume for Halloween……What happened to Mike?

ITEM: And with that subtle segue, the Comicazi Halloweeniversary is
slated for Saturday October 23. The same Bat-time and same Bat-channel
as in years previous.

ITEM: He probably won’t be able to make it to the Halloweeniversary
but I wanted to give a big shout out to one of Comicazi’s favorite
sons…Kentucky. The man became a father for the second time last
Thursday. Congratulations to you and Meg my friend!!

You know, a second-generation comic reader has gotten me all pumped to
get right to the comic list for next week! So I’m going to!! Don’t
forget that Labor Day pushes delivery back a day so that new comics
arrive on THURSDAY the 9th.
